Science Teacher
I graduated from Atoka High School and earned my Bachelor's Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education.
My "dream job" has always been to teach at Harmony. When I heard that the long-time Science teacher was retiring in May 2002, I was quick to apply. I got the job and have been teaching Science here since August 2002. I love my coworkers which I call friends, the family style atmosphere at the school, and my students that keep me on my toes and make me want to keep teaching.
My first teaching job was at a rural school near Bonham, Texas in 1994. I taught 6th-8th Science, Biology and Chemistry. I still lived in the Harmony area, so I had an 80+ mile daily drive. My daughter was only a baby, and my husband worked late shifts. The time away from my family and a rollover car accident on my way to work forced me to turn in my resignation after working just one school year. Then I became Charles McCall's Administrative Assistant at AmeriState Bank for the next several years.
I am married to Brian Snead, and we have two wonderful children. Our daughter graduated from OU in May 2015, and our son currently attends ECU. We live in the Harmony School District, and both of our children attended PreK-4 to 8th Grade here. My husband and I would not have had it any other way.
In my free time, you will find me with my family. I love spending as much time with them as possible.
I also love to read for enjoyment, but rarely have the time to do it.
